MycoFog® Biological Indicators (BI’s)

Our proprietary biological indicators (BIs) are self-contained vials of spores of Geobacillus stearothermophilus + media.  The BIs are placed in key locations throughout the incubator during the biodecontamination cycle.  At the end of the cycle the BIs are processed and incubated along with a control BI that has NOT been exposed to the cycle.  After 24 hours, the BIs are inspected for color change, the absence of which indicates killing of the spores.  See “Validation” on References page.
